Linda Bloser is back with her wonderful aura photography! Her work was such a hit last October we decided to bring her back to RoseHeart for all those people who missed out! Aura photography shows the colors and shape of your aura and your chakras. Linda uses that information to explain what your aura and chakras say about you, about your personality, your body, mind and spiritual health and well-being. If you have never done this before, it is fascinating and fun! If you have, it is amazing and very beneficial to see the differences and similarities - how are you growing and where are you stuck, where are you changing, where are you vulnerable and where are your strengths, what is in balance and what needs your attention.
By appointment only - to sign up contact Virginia Waldron at 315-243-1828 or gatkepr@dreamscape.com. Send your checks, made out to Linda Bloser, to The RoseHeart Center. Deadline to sign up is Saturday, April 10th. There are a limited number of appointments possible, so sign up early to make sure you get one!

The Aura is an energy field that interpenetrates with and radiates out beyond the physical body. It is made up of different energy vibrations or frequencies that are also known as the outer bodies. These, in turn, make up the physical, etheric, astral, mental, causal, and higher spiritual aspects of the multidimensional human form.
The Aura and the Chakras are linked; the chakras are part of the auric field and each penetrates the other. The chakras are the means through which a physical being or body communicates with the aura and vice-versa. The main function of each chakra seems to be as a step-down transformer for the higher frequency subtle energies of the aura. These energies are converted into chemical, hormonal, and cellular changes in the physical body.
While the aura and chakras are not usually accessible to the naked human eye, and not easily proven to exist using conventional/traditional ‘scientific’ methods, recent advances in science, medicine and psychology are showing that there is more to the idea of body-mind-spirit connection than was originally thought. In quantum physics we have discovered that the human observer can affect the observed, and consequently the outcome of the experiment. The next step would be to consider human consciousness is poweful enough to affect matter. Doctors understand today that the mind can make the body ill - stress illnesses and condictions such as hypertension, ulcers, immune disorders, etc. easily demonstrate that.
In metaphysics an aura is a field of subtle, luminous radiation surrounding or emanating from a person or object (like the halo or aureola of religious art). Some people can see an aura with their physical eyes, although that is rare. Usually, when an aura is ‘seen’ it is with the more subtle inner or third eye. It is thought that each color of the aura has a precise meaning, indicating a precise emotional or spiritual state. The aura emanation is visualized as an outline of cascading color and may be held to represent soul vibrations, chakric emergence, or a reflection of surrounding energy fields. Layers of aura are separate and distinct yet connected to all the remaining layers. In the books of Carlos Castaneda auras are referred to as luminous cocoons.
Modern New Age metaphysics identify the aura as electromagnetic fields. The existence of electromagnetic fields around every object in the known world is a scientifically proven fact. What is debatable is whether or not humans can see these electromagnetic fields as colors with the naked eye. This claim is considered paranormal because devices that sense electromagnetic fields at magnitudes many times smaller than that which allegedly exists in auras have recorded nothing.
However, these energy fields can be documented by a rare form of photography called Kirlian photography. In truth this energy field not only goes around you, but moves within your body as well. It is not just the outside of your body that is made of electromagnetic energies, every part of your and everything your experience in third dimension. Auras vibrate to different color, sound and light frequencies. The color spectrum varies with one's physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual states. It is thought that auras change all the time according to the person's mood and environment.
Seeing Auras
Auras can be seen physically, or sensed psychically, or both. To practice seeing auras - have the subject stand in front of a white background and look to the side of their body - either side is fine. Daylight is often the best light as the sun's rays are full spectrum. If you watch the person for a minute, you will see their electromagnetic energies as sort of wavy lines of energies. This looks a lot like the energy you see when you are watching an airplane taking off in a movie.
It helps to let your eyes go a little out of focus while you are looking for an aura. You may only see the aura for a few seconds, then it will disappear.
After you see that energy, you may also see or sense a color frequency, maybe two or three colors, in the aura. After several minutes you should be able to see some sort of energy field around the person, even if you cannot determine the color. As with all psychic tools, learning to read auras seems easy for some people while others need lost of practice.
If you would like to see your own aura, find a mirror that is in a well lit room. Relax. Look at your head or head and shoulder area. Focus on one side of your head. Soon you should be able to see the electromagnetic energies as a field of light - around your head.
Feeling Auras
The color of your aura is determined by your emotions, physical surroundings, spiritual work you are doing, items in the room, such as crystals which can magnify or change the colors of any aura. Anything that can affect an electromagnetic field can affect a change in one's aura. As everything that is in our reality is created from electromagnetic energy, everything has an aura - plants, animals, etc.
A healer such as a Reiki Master or a Massage Therapist, can help their clients by bringing balance to the person's electromagnetic field. They will observe the person and determine if they have any holes in their aura. This will appear as if the electromagnetic energies had suddenly stopped. This indicates where there is a problem or imbalance in their physical body. All healing must be done on the soul level first!
Do you want to feel the electromagnetic energies coming from your body? Try holding the palms of your hand facing each other - about two inches apart. Wait a few seconds. You will feel something. If you hands are nervous and cold, that will hamper the energies. Once you begin to feel the sensation of electromagnetic energies between your palms, move them slowly to and fro. You will feel the movement of your aura. Look between your hands to see the electromagnetic energies, your aura.
Try moving your palms further and further apart slowly. See how far you can go before you no longer feel the 'pull'. Remember to check periodically by moving your hands slightly and slowly. Now try pointing your fingers towards each other and feel those energies. Again move your fingertips to and fro. You can repeat this with another person.
Aura energies are linked to colors, the chakra system, musical tones/notes, as they all resonate to the same frequency. Sound, light and color are all interconnected at source. Aura around living (conscious) objects (people, plants ...) changes with time, sometimes very quickly. Aura around non-living object (stones, crystals, water...) is essentially fixed, but can be changed by our conscious intent.
Meditation or working with anything that can enhance your electromagnetic energy fields will raise your frequency and move you to a higher frequency color of light. In other words - you hold a few clear quartz crystals and meditate, it will have a clear white tone unless you have a serious medical problem. So as you see all things are connected by the flow of the electromagnetic energy fields that create our reality.

Within our bodies there are focal points of energy that we use, whether consciously or unconsciously, to affect reality and allow us to fully experience and realize events that unfold before us. These focal points are called Chakras. The word chakra is Sanskrit for wheel or disk and signifies one of seven basic energy centers in the body. Each of these centers correlates to levels of consciousness, archetypal elements, developmental stages of life, colors, sounds, body functions, and much, much more. The chakras are thought to vitalise the physical body and to be associated with interactions of a physical, emotional and mental nature.
The function of the chakras is to spin and draw in Universal Life Force Energy to keep the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health of the body in balance. Chakras are located in important parts of your body such as your head or heart. Any organs within the area of these Chakras are used to control; and are, therefore, directly affected by the properties of that Chakra. Each chakra has their own unique attributes and characteristics:
Five of the seven chakras are aligned vertically along the spine and two reside in the head area. The base or survival chakra resides at the base of the spine and connects or grounds you to the earth. The crown chakra, at the top of the head, is partly not within the body but in the “spiritual essence” serving more as a gateway to everything that is, Divinity, or God. The other major chakras are the sexual-creativity chakra in the naval area, the emotional chakra in the solar plexus area, the heart chakra in the heart area, the throat chakra in the throat area, and the third-eye chakra in the middle of the forehead. Each of these major chakras uniquely influences various physical and spiritual aspects of your life.
The chakras can have various levels of activity. When they're "open," they're considered operative in a normal fashion. Ideally, all chakras would contribute to our being. Our instincts would work together with our feelings and thinking. However, this is usually not the case. Some chakras are not open enough (being under-active), and to compensate, other chakras are over-active. The ideal state is where the chakras are balanced. There exist lots of techniques to balance the chakras. Mostly techniques to open chakras are used. It makes no sense to try to make over-active chakras less active, as they are compensating for other chakras. To restore the compensation they'd be over-active again in no time. To stop them from compensating, the chakras they are compensating for must be opened.
Located at the base of the spine, this chakra forms our foundation. It represents the element earth, and is therefore related to our survival instincts, and to our sense of grounding and connection to our bodies and the physical plane. Ideally this chakra brings us health, prosperity, security, and dynamic presence. thus, the base or root chakra is related to security, survival and also to basic human potentiality. This centre is responsible for the fight and flight response when survival is under threat. Symbolised by a lotus with four petals.
The second or sacral chakra, located in the abdomen, ljust below the belly button and above the pubic hairline. It is related to the element water, and to emotions and sexuality. It connects us to others through feeling, desire, sensation, and movement. Ideally this chakra brings us fluidity and grace, depth of feeling, sexual fulfillment, and the ability to accept change. It is ymbolised by a lotus with six petals.
This chakra is known as the power or the solar plexus chakra, located in the solar plexus, above the belly button. It rules our personal power, will, and autonomy, as well as our metabolism. When healthy, this chakra brings us energy, effectiveness, spontaneity, and non-dominating power. It is
symbolised by a lotus with ten petals.
This chakra is called the heart chakra and is the middle chakra in a system of seven. It is related to love, equilibrium, and well-being. It is the integrator of opposites in the psyche: mind and body, male and female, persona and shadow, ego and unity. A healthy fourth chakra allows us to love deeply, feel compassion, have a deep sense of peace and centeredness. It is ymbolised by a lotus with twelve petals.
This is the throat chakra located in the throat and is thus related to communication, growth and creativity, with creativity being a manifestation of self-expression. Here we experience the world symbolically through vibration, such as the vibration of sound representing language. It is symbolised by a lotus with sixteen petals.
This chakra is known as the brow chakra or third eye center. It is related to the act of seeing, both physically and intuitively. As such it opens our psychic faculties and our understanding of archetypal levels. When healthy it allows us to see clearly, in effect, letting us "see the big picture." Also known as the chakra of the third eye, the chakra of time and awareness and of light. It is symbolised by a lotus with two petals.
This is the crown chakra that relates to consciousness as pure awareness, the master chakra that controls all the others.. It is our connection to the greater world beyond, to a timeless, spaceless place of all-knowing. When developed, this chakra brings us knowledge, wisdom, understanding, spiritual connection, and bliss. It is known also as the Chakra of Brahman (the Divine Aspect) and is symbolised by a lotus with a thousand petals.

Aura or Kirlian photography refers to a form of photogram made with a high voltage. It is named after Semyon Kirlian, who in 1939 accidentally discovered that if an object on a photographic plate is connected to a source of high voltage, small corona discharges (created by the strong electric field at the edges of the object) create an image on the photographic plate. Kirlian's work, from 1939 onward, involved an independent rediscovery of a phenomenon and technique variously called "electrography", "electrophotography", and "corona discharge photography". The Kirlian technique is contact photography, in which the subject is in direct contact with a film placed upon a metal plate charged with high voltage, high frequency electricity.
What is Aura Photography?
Aura Photography is a relatively new development in the age of "new age" technology. It provides a visual representation of the energy field (aura) around a person. It gives many people who are not clairvoyant the opportunity to get a peek at their aura. Kirlian photography was the precursor to modern aura photography, giving a view of the energetic corona around a living thing placed on a photoelectric plate.
Today there are many different systems for taking these kinds of photos. Some require the subject stand or sit with the left hand on a plate with copper buttons which is called a hand sensor. Others are strickly no-touch, like a regular camera. Most of these systems include a hook up with some sort of computer for transmitting biofeedback data which provides the analysis report for the individual subject.
Below are some examples of the types of photographs and information that can be obtained through these methods. Such systems have become very popular and can easily be found at local psychic fairs and other ‘new age’ programs.
